Obama Using MTV To Advance Failing Healthcare Agenda

2009 September 13
by Mr. Slinkard

I just saw the most ridiculous MTV commercial to date involving D List actors, Zach Braff and Donald Faison, demanding health care for young people ages 18-29.  I couldn’t believe what was unfolding before my eyes as the two meaningless actors gave statistics about how the status quo is no more and the young people are under insured in America and it’s time to demand rights to health care.

Amazingly enough I fall into the age bracket the two dumb asses targeted and I think it’s sad that Obama and his cronies are using the mindless youths of society to advance the agenda of universal healthcare.  Personally I felt as if I should have been watching Chris Hanson with Dateline and the show to “Catch a Predator” as MTV’s “Rock the Vote” is preying upon individuals in society who cannot think for themselves.

No where in our constitution does it state that it is the Government’s responsibility to give health care to individuals in our country.  To say we should stand up and demand health care is ludicrous as my rebuttal is do what I did.  Get a job and pay for it.  If you cannot afford it with your main job do what I also did and get another job.  This is what’s wrong with the young generation as we are promoting kids to grow up and not be self-reliant, promoting kids to be leeches to the Government.  Time to change the National Emblem from the eagle to a Sow (a female pig for “Rock the Vote” participants) so everyone can have a tit to suck on.

We live in a society where the youth think they are owed anything and everything and hard work and dedication has gone to the wayside.  Dude, where did my country go?  Anyone who signs the petition to contact their senator about universal healthcare is spineless and merely proves they are a troll for the Obama administration.  How sad of a world we live in that MTV feels it necessary to resort to the likes of Braff and Faison to advance Obama’s failing platform of health care.

Dora Birthday Parties

2009 September 6
by Mr. Slinkard

Today we celebrated my little girl’s second birthday and as the video camera caught lasting memories of her older sister and cousins I couldn’t help but think about how fast life passes bye.  I kept thinking to myself how hard it was to belief that she is already two as I remember her birth as if it was yesterday.  As I did my best video work I made sure that I took footage of all the little ones playing because I know one day we’ll look back and admire how young the children were.

Sadly enough I do not have a lot of pictures or film from my younger days and I want my girls to have what I didn’t have.  I don’t know how I would react being able to turn back the time 26 years and watching my 2nd birthday party.  For my girls though they will be able to do this and for that I am excited for them.

One day they’ll be grown up and the birthday parties of Dora, Elmo, etc. will no longer be cool but I will forever have these memories chiseled into my heart forever.  Hopefully they will too.  I want to provide a life for my girls better than the one I had growing up with the hopes they will want the same for their children.  My family is truly a gift from God and after having children I now understand and realize how short life truly is.  Part of me wishes they never would grow up that the two year old would continue to throw her temper tantrum when she’s told she can’t have ice cream for breakfast, but part of me cannot wait to experience their life experiences.  Who knows, maybe in twenty years I’ll be wishing they were in diapers.  All I know is that I love them and my wife with all of my heart and I look forward to making memories with them.

Rascal Flatts are no fans to fat people

2009 August 28
by Mr. Slinkard

I was flipping through the channels the other morning and came across a country music video by Rascal Flatts and the song is entitled, “Summer Nights”. Anyway the video caught my attention as the opening of the video showed the members of the band stating they wanted to involve their fans and quotes from the video include the following:

“Let our fans film themselves having a good time… maybe on a beach somewhere…having one good time…summer nights…”

…Audition fans maybe to play us….

At first I thought this was pretty interesting the fact being the band was going to show their fans and maybe this was a way to give back to their loyal listeners. I couldn’t help but think how great of an idea this was and then the video played on.

I was shocked as the video went on and on to people lip singing the song but I had a revelation that day that up until that point I did not know was true. Rascal Flatts country group have no overweight or obese fans. Their video proved it as it showed the size 0 girls running around in bikinis on the beach with their Hollister model counterparts shirtless or showing their well sculpted bodies.

The video was eye-opening as I had to let go of the stereotype I had previously had of country music fans. You know the redneck looking people, those people missing their teeth, guzzling beer and who could forget the beer gut? Does Larry the Cable Guy come to mind? Well it did until this day and now I know the fan base are only attractive people, now I’m not saying that I couldn’t be a fan of Rascal Flatts because of my looks, but you my friend might be in danger of not meeting the litmus test.

These beautiful people running around in the video was quite shocking especially with how obese Rascal Flatts’ lead singer, Gary LeVox, is. If you have not seen the man, well think of the statement, “he has more Chins than a Chinese phonebook.’ Anyway I guess it doesn’t matter unless you’re an ugly person, and I will forewarn you that you shouldn’t listen to the Rascal Flatts but should stick to Jeff Foxworthy and maybe a little Winona Judd. Yes, those two would be great, one is definitely unattractive while the other one is chunky.

Roll Tide, Roll!!

Ahhh I can feel the change in the air as the nights are becoming a little bit cooler as the breeze begins to blow after the sun goes down. I love the fall season of the year and not because of the weather but because it means one thing, football! I have added a new widget tracking my alma mater and I am looking forward to the upcoming season. I was watching the St. Louis Rams ball game the other night and saw a familiar face with Mr. Kenneth Darby and I think it’s unfortunate that he is playing on a low-caliber team such as the Rams, but he is playing professional football.

Anyway, here is to the upcoming college football season, may each fan enjoy their favorite team’s season and remember, “Roll Tide, Roll!!”

Liberal Heart Versus Conservative Brain

2009 August 16
by Mr. Slinkard

Conservatives versus Liberals have been waging a war in politics for quite some time and the advancements of the Internet have helped aid this ongoing battle. Two grassroots group — one left leaning, the other right leaning — are holding their annual conferences in Pittsburgh and teaching members how to wield clout online. I found this story rather intriguing as this clearly demonstrates how the political battle field is morphing to the technological advancements of the 21st Century.

Netroots Nation is on the Left while RightOnline is, well, obviously on the right side of the political realm. Surprising enough the conferences seems to be relatively small as Netroots will be having 1,800 people with RightOnline having 700 people.

There has been much talk about Liberals being able to capture supporters through the use of the Internet with such social networking sites as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter, but really who is surprised? Now the Conservative movement is gaining momentum but typically history has shown us that the youth tend to be of the liberal mindset. As the youth grow up, experience life, the liberal youth of today tend to migrate to the conservatives of tomorrow.

Why have the Liberals been so successful with the Internet? Easy, these social networking sites are made primarily on the youth of America which tends to have a liberal mindset of “why can’t we all just get along.”

To quote Winston Churchill,

“If you’re not a liberal when you’re 25, you have no heart. If you’re not a conservative by the time you’re 35, you have no brain”.

This past election we had a Nation of people that voted based on their emotions and not their brains. The drop in Obama’s approval ratings, the media beginning to turn on the messiah, these are all leading indicators the Nation is starting to think with their brains and forgetting about their emotions.

Driver or iPod responsible for death?

2009 August 15
by Mr. Slinkard

Modern day technology has struck again and is the latest cause of death of one person and has another person critically injured in a car crash outside Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill, PA. According to police, the driver lost control of her vehicle, crossed over two lanes of traffic and ran over two pedestrians on the sidewalk that had just walked out of the hospital.

Apparently the driver, Rachel Jankins of Havertown, was having problems with her iPod, reached down, wasn’t paying attention and lost control of the vehicle. Killed was Nicole Gallo of Clifton Heights and the injured person is Christine Bochanski of Lansdowne.

Obviously heartfelt prayers and wishes go out to all of the families involved but one has to wonder what is going to come of all of this. Reality is we live in a “sue-happy” society and obviously Jankins will be facing one unlawful death suit but I have to question whether or not Apple and iPod will be sued. I know, I know, you’re probably thinking I’m crazy right now but we live in a world where individuals sue alma maters because of the inability to get employment. Hypothetically speaking if the iPod would have worked properly Jankins would not have been distracted and quite possibly the two pedestrians would have been unharmed.

I do not support any such lawsuits and become irate when I hear of people filing stupid suits but this is the world we live in. People want a buck without earning it. People look for the easy way out.

America’s Poor Folk A Bunch of Babies?

2009 August 15
by Mr. Slinkard

I believe that I live in the greatest country the world has ever known. I believe that for all of the bad we are hearing in this day and age there is still a world of opportunity for a person, for a family, for an entire nation to believe in. The United States is the land of the free and is the home to a diversified demographic from coast to coast. We hear about the homeless, we hear about the treatment of our war veterans, we hear about the poor in our country and how Conservatives are heartless because we have an ideology of people doing for themselves instead of relying upon the Government.

My question on this post revolves around the Hollywood celebrities and the “charitable work” people such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie partake in. Liberals have pointed out from present to past that the American people are not fully being taken care of, people are going hungry and doing without, then why are these celebrities who go to other countries outside of the U.S. to help out other nations being seen as saints? I mean seriously I was taught that when it came to family you protect your own and with that same philosophy it only seems fitting that Americans would protect other Americans before protecting others.

The latest celebrity to do charity work abroad is Hilary Duff and we all know she needs as much help as possible in recreating herself as she sucks as an actress and a singer. But my question is why venture outside the United States? Why not give back to your own country? Why is it that doing charitable work off U.S. soil is seen as more heroic than establishing a stronger bond between the celebrity and possible supporters?

I guess one could say the answer is simple that even the poorest of the poor in the United States is not really poor in comparisons to other countries throughout the world. Think about it, the poor in America typically all have electricity, all have running water, vehicles, air conditioning, televisions, phone lines, etc. Maybe the reason why celebrities help out other countries before their own is that deep down inside these elites realize and understand that the poor of America quite possibly are a bunch of babies. Do not get me wrong, I have lived on both ends of the spectrum of being raised poor to now living a comfortable lifestyle so I understand what it’s like not to have a pot to piss in. Of course though I also know the work ethic and determination it took for me to pull myself out of the wreaking hands of poverty.

I do not feel sorry for the “poor” of the United States because the great thing about this country that we live in is that we are free and we have a world of opportunities. Relying upon the Government to be the bread winner is not the answer and if a person wants something done right they will do it themselves. There will be times in a person’s life where possibly some assistance is needed, hell I was there, but there will always be a time that a person has got to say enough is enough and become a proud American.

Maybe Fast Food Employees Are Overpaid

This is video of a nearby McDonald’s and unfortunately I know some of the people involved in this footage. My question is why do Liberals fight so hard to raise minimum wage? What you see is what you get.

Obama: Audacity of Hype

2009 August 14
by Mr. Slinkard

The messiah has spoken and apparently Obama has denounced the news media emphasis on health care protests and the angry protesters at town-hall meetings. Wait a minute here, we are talking about the same mainstream media that is in the back pocket of Obama and his administration and how ironic is it he is now dictating the news by telling his media conglomerates what to write. I wonder if we will no longer hear about people being in outrage over his health care ideas and how the chickens are coming home to support universal health care.

Amazingly enough Obama informed the American public what we haven’t seen on TV with all of the “many constructive meetings going on all over the country.” Hmm, sure, I’m thinking that Obama is right that we have not heard these reports because they are not happening. The American people are waking up and realizing how dangerous the man who was elected on hope and change has been unable to deliver upon his message.

Sadly enough there are still a number of people who are sitting and waiting for Obama to turn on his super powers and it’s not going to happen. The American public, as a whole, elected a Socialist and we can only hope that the Socialite in power does not further wreck havoc on our nation. I find it extremely humorous how when things go semi-correct Obama is touting his claim to fame of having an integral part of the success but when his system fails, he simply blames Bush.

Obama reminds me more of a dictator than anything else especially in wanting more Government control on all aspect’s of life. Now I realize that Liberals believe the common person is too stupid to live their life without intervention from the Government and maybe there’s some validity to how stupid Americans can be, I mean seriously take a look at the White House, we have someone in Office who is disassembling our country’s core values left and right. Now I guarantee that we will see Obama’s influences upon the media outlets, but remember one thing, Hope and change is not the name of the game.

Obama Smelling More Like A Rat

2009 August 11
by Mr. Slinkard

Surprising news out of Portsmouth, N.H. as President Barack Obama dealt with a friendly crowd in his town hall meeting urging listeners not to listen to those who seek to “scare and mislead the American people.” I say surprising because who should be surprised that Obama did not have an objector in the crowd? I mean this is the same President who has plants as reporters and gets softball questions.

I definitely get the feeling we have not heard the end of this but amazingly enough we spend the last week or so hearing about the uproar of Obama’s plans for health care and then when he speaks, no outrage. What gives? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I smell a rat and that rat is Obama.

Of course Obama is going to receive softball questions at these town halls, of course there is not going to be any outrage against Obama because I have a gut feeling these town hall meetings are structured in a manner to eliminate the possibilities of Obama looking poorly. Think about it Obama is trying to get the support of Americans not distance himself from the American public.
